Terrifier Movie Review

If you are looking for a high gore low budget b movie, this movie is for you. The movie Terrifier is actually based on a character from the cult anthology All Hallows Eve. This movie takes place on Halloween night where the unnerving Art the clown sets out to terrorize two girls and anyone else who gets in his path.

Though the movie really had no storyline to speak of, it did make up for this somewhat with the gorey special effects.

The villain is truly terrifying, much more so than other franchise clowns (*cough* Pennywise *cough*) in that you never knew what he was going to do next. From cutting one woman in half to scalping another and cutting off her breasts to wear as a costume, you will be on the edge of your seat through the whole movie.

Major props to David Howard Thornton as he stays in role the whole time with some really unnerving faces throughout. If you liked this movie, you will be delighted to hear that according to IMDB a sequel is set to be released in 2020.

All in all, with a budget of $100,000 I would say it wasn’t terrible, would I watch it again? Probably not. I’d give this film a 5/10.
